The biggest task for Minnesota this weekend against Seattle in Week 5 is trying to limit the potent Seahawks passing game on their side of the field.

Leading into the game, the Vikings defense — and most notably the pass defense — has been suspect to say to least while the unit deals with a few new faces taking over in key spots while also going through some early-season injuries on that side of the line of scrimmage.
In Week 5, that pass defense will have its toughest test of the year to this point when going up against Russell Wilson and company on their home field in Seattle.
Through four games, the Seahawks passing offense has been one of the tops in the league, throwing for a total of 1,285 passing yards (third-best in NFL) and 16 touchdowns (best in NFL) so far. Seattle has completed 75.2 percent of its pass attempts (best in NFL) while averaging 9.4 yards per attempt (best in NFL) with only two interceptions.
Specifically for Wilson, he is a frontrunner to claim the NFL MVP award at the early stages of the season, ranking third in the NFL in passing yards while throwing for a NFL-best 16 touchdowns in just four games. That’s not even touching on his ability to extend plays with his legs on the ground.
It might be a long week for the Vikings defense and specifically the pass defense against Wilson and the Seahawks. They will have to show up big to try and keep that unit in check during the Week 5 contest.
