Bold predictions for the New England Patriots as they play a postponed game against the Broncos on Monday.
After a busy week and a half for the New England Patriots surrounding concerns with COVID-19 and wondering if they will be playing on Sunday in Week 5 as originally scheduled, the Patriots are set to take part in another Monday night contest for the second week in a row.
On Thursday, the NFL announced that the game between the Patriots and the Denver Broncos was going to be moved to 5:05 p.m. ET on Monday night at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
That news comes on the heals of a few different New England players testing positive for COVID-19, which was a concern going into Week 4 and shut down the team facilities this week leading into Week 5.
For now, the contest on Monday is still on and is scheduled to be played in Foxborough, and the Patriots are looking to bounce back after falling on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs last week.
In the game against Kansas City, New England had opportunities against one of the top teams in the league but was unable to take over the game late to allow the defending Super Bowl Champions to remain undefeated on the year. As a result, the Patriots fell to the .500 mark on the year at 2-2 overall going into this week.
On the other side of the field in Week 5, Denver is coming off of a 37-28 win over the New York Jets in Week 4, securing its first victory of the 2020 season. The Broncos were able to jump out to a lead over the Jets early on in the contest and cruised to a win at the end of the game in New York.
Before the Patriots aim to get back to their winning ways while facing a Broncos team that is trying to win their second straight, here are three bold predictions that will take place on Monday for New England.
