Ward and Wentz:

Stud: Greg Ward

Though he had four catches the entire game, Greg Ward has been a reliable option for the Eagles since he switched positions from college to the NFL. As a quarterback at the University of Houston, he was electrifying with his playmaking ability. When he came to the Eagles, however, he seemed to be just another guy on the practice squad or on the roster, until he started making plays.

Four catches for 61 yards and a touchdown may not seem like much, but when the offense is struggling, any sort of contribution is accepted. Ward now has two touchdowns on the season and will be looked on further if the Eagles hope to establish any rhythm in the passing game.

The Eagles receiving core is depleted which means Ward will be targeted further provided the line is able to protect Carson Wentz and allow him to navigate the field.

Dud: Carson Wentz

258 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions and five sacks. A grand total of 75.7 QBR for Carson Wentz. Aside from one game this season, Wentz has thrown two picks per game. Nine picks in five games this season. That will make headlines in the Philadelphia Enquirer, but for all the wrong reasons.

Not all of it falls on Wentz as a majority of both receivers and protection are dealing with injuries. But when you are the franchise quarterback and you have a number of supporters banking on your good performances, coming up short only increases the deflection that will be thrown in your direction.

Wentz needs to step it up or it may just be time for Jalen Hurts to get a shot in hopes of jump-starting this offense.
