team. 44. . . Previous: 30th. Atlanta Falcons. 31

At this point, the Atlanta Falcons might need to just blow it all up. Head coach Dan Quinn clearly lost the team and while he’s out, there’s really no one on that coaching staff who will be able to turn it around as an interim. And while that’s all true, no one can seriously say it’s all on the staff. The players themselves have had more than their share of issues.

We saw that once again on Sunday as there were missed assignments, dropped passes, and an ill-timed interception from Matt Ryan — who has struggled quite a bit this season. Now, if there were any silver linings in their latest loss, it had to be the play of running back Todd Gurley and wide receiver Calvin Ridley.

Gurley finished this game with 121 yards rushing and 29 receiving with a touchdown — giving him his second huge game in a row. As for Ridley, he continues to prove that he’s a legit No. 1 wide receiver in this league, catching eight passes for 136 yards.

Speaking of Ridley, he and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett are the two biggest stars on this roster and right now, they might be the only players who are safe from the idea of a potential purge.
