2020 NFL Power Rankings Week 6: Browns crack top-10, Chiefs slip up
By Randy Gurzi
Gardner Minshew continues to put up solid numbers for the Jacksonville Jaguars but it hasn’t been enough to get them many wins. In fact, they have just one still as their only victory came in their Week 1 contest against the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 27-20. Since then, it’s been ugly for them.
Jacksonville lost 33-30 in Week 2 to the Tennessee Titans, 31-13 to the Miami Dolphins, and 33-25 against the Cincinnati Bengals. In Week 5, they continued the unfortunate trend of surrendering 30-plus points as they lost 30-14 to the Houston Texans — who were playing in their first game since firing Bill O’Brien.
Interim head coach Romeo Crennel dialed up the defense against the Jags, sacking Gardner Minshew three times and they were given credit for another on running back James Robinson who was running a fake and attempted to pass. They also made the running game difficult on the Jags, holding them to under four yards per carry.
For Jacksonville, it’s starting to feel like Week 1 was the anomaly as the tank job is still in effect for them. They now have games against the Lions and Chargers coming up before another meeting with the Texans on the schedule. After that, things get really ugly for them on the schedule as this season feels lost already.
