Atlanta Falcons Candidate No. 1: Eric Bieniemy
For Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, it isn’t a question as to if he will become a head coach in the NFL, but when. For the last few years, his name has been thrown out there in coaching searches for numerous jobs, and you would think someone is finally going to take a chance on him going into the 2021 campaign.

Bieniemy is another offensive-minded coach, currently serving under Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, a position he has held since 2018 after being the Chiefs running backs coach from 2013 through 2017. Before coming to Kansas City, Bieniemy’s previous NFL coaching experience includes being the running backs coach and assistant head coach with the Minnesota Vikings from 2006 through 2010.
Bieniemy has done a nice job wherever he has been in his career, and he has most recently received a lot of praise for the job he has done with Kansas City and helping that offense become one of the more feared units in the league.
Bieniemy will be a head coach in the NFL, it’s just a matter of when and where that will happen. Although he has been a nice assistant coach under Reid, Bieniemy is ready to take over a team for himself.
As a highly respected coach and offensive mind, Bieniemy could do a nice job in leading the Atlanta Falcons offense and help that unit continue to be one of the more dominant groups in the NFL. At 51 years old, Bieniemy still has plenty of time left ahead of him as far as how long he could coach, and Atlanta could provide him with the perfect opportunity to finally break into the head coaching ranks in the league.
