4. Louis Riddick

ESPN NFL Analyst Louis Riddick is a candidate who is more of an outside chance but could be something the Falcons try to do to switch things up and go with an individual currently outside of the NFL.

More from NFL Spin Zone

For the last handful of years, Riddick has been an analyst for ESPN and was even added as an announcer for Monday Night Football in 2020.

Whenever general manager or front office positions open up in teams around the league annually, Riddick’s name has continued to arise in the list of possible candidates and he should be included as a potential target for Atlanta’s general manager search going into 2021.

After playing in the NFL from 1991-98, Riddick quickly jumped into a front office role within a few different organizations in the league prior to landing with ESPN. From 2001-07, Riddick was a part of The Washington Football Team’s front office as a pro scout and later Director of Pro Personnel. In 2008, he joined the Philadelphia Eagles as a pro scout and was promoted to Assistant Director of Pro Personnel and later Director of Pro Personnel until leaving the organization in 2013.

As we have seen most recently in Las Vegas with general manager Mike Mayock, who was an analyst with NFL Network before joining the Raiders, hiring a TV analyst isn’t that crazy of a thought and it might be something the Falcons look to do both now and into the future.
