When Will the New York Jets Get Their First Win?

Poor Jets fans. Every year is the same old story for them, but this year is somehow even worse than past seasons because they’ve yet to win a game and have looked downright awful. They couldn’t knock off the Broncos in Week 4 who had a third-string quarterback in the game, so that’s obviously not great moving forward.

Here are the next five games for the Jets:

  • at Dolphins
  • Bills
  • at Chiefs
  • Patriots
  • at Chargers

It’s going to be a challenge for the Jets to win any of these games. The best chance they’d have is against the Dolphins this weekend, but Miami completely blew out the reigning NFC champion 49ers last weekend. That shows that the Dolphins are a much better team than that of the Jets.

Looking past these five games, New York’s best chance to get their first W of the season is against the Dolphins in Week 12, only because that game is at home. I think if the Jets do win any games this season, at least one of them will come against Miami. There’s obviously a good chance that a team overlooks the Jets and that helps them steal a win, but it’s hard to predict when that happens.

If any team is going to go 0-16 this year, it’s the Jets and, at this point, their fans would probably prefer to just tank the rest of the way, get the No. 1 pick, draft Trevor Lawrence and move on to the next era of Jets football. Hopefully, that next era is a better one because Jets fans deserve a break.
