FanDuel NFL Week 6 Picks and Advice: Running Back

Though running back is not hit as hard as the other positions, the injuries are starting to add up and with players like Chris Carson, Josh Jacobs and Alvin Kamara on bye, there are not as many locked in studs compared to other weeks.

In my eyes, Derrick Henry is the clear RB1 this week and is well worth his $9,000 price tag as he could easily go for 150+ yards and two touchdowns against a weak Texans defense. James Robinson ($6,500) has let managers down these past two weeks, but I have no problem going back to him, especially in cash formats as his floor is still 10 fantasy points.

Alexander Mattison ($7,000) is sure to be a popular play as well, as even though his price reflects the Dalvin Cook injury, he is still insanely underpriced. If you want a cheap RB2 or FLEX, look no further than David Montgomery ($5,900) or Ronald Jones II ($5,800), who both will see plenty of volume against the league’s two worst rushing defenses.

As for running backs I will be avoiding, Miles Sanders ($7,600) has limited upside against a strong Baltimore defense in a game where Philadelphia is going to have to throw the ball to keep up. I am also staying away from Joe Mixon ($6,900) as the Colts should be able to handle the Bengals the same way the Ravens did last week, where Mixon turned 30 touches into 94 yards.

Finally, there is really no reason for you to have Mark Ingram ($6,000) in your FanDuel DFS lineup with guys like Montgomery, Jones, and Antonio Gibson ($5,800) that are cheaper.

FanDuel NFL Week 6 Picks and Advice: Wide Receiver

When choosing wide receivers for your FanDuel DFS lineup, you want to focus on games that are likely to be high scoring with bad defenses. Some games that fit that criteria this week are the Vikings vs. Falcons, Lions vs. Jaguars, and the Titans vs. Texans.

Therefore, you should feel extremely confident in Calvin Ridley ($8,600) and Adam Thielen ($7,400) as the top wideouts in a shootout. Justin Jefferson ($5,900) is also a solid play at his price point, despite putting up a dud in a plus matchup last week.

Kenny Golladay ($7,200) and A.J. Brown ($6,500) are players I want in as many lineups as possible, and if D.J. Chark ($6,600) is out or limited, Laviska Shenault Jr. ($5,800) becomes a solid play in cash formats with the high floor he offers.

I am fading both Carolina receivers this week, as the upside is not there with Chicago’s strong defense and the second-lowest over-under of the week. I am also not putting Terry McLaurin ($6,900) into lineups, as he is likely going to be shadowed by shutdown corner James Bradberry and will have Kyle Allen throwing him the ball.

Finally, I am avoiding all Steelers receivers in cash formats if Diontae Johnson ($5,700) is healthy as, with the emergence of Chase Claypool ($5,500), there are too many mouths to feed for all to have a strong finish.
