Dallas Cowboys: 3 Bold predictions for Week 7 vs. Washington
By Randy Gurzi
3. Finally, a turnover
Easily, the most frustrating thing about the Cowboys this season has been their inability to create turnovers. That’s really made their defensive struggles stand out, and there were even some rumblings coming out of the locker room that the players are tapping out on this coaching staff.

Ironically enough, this roster is still full of a lot of players from the previous regime. And one thing that was a huge issue under that staff was their major inability to create turnovers. So, that means that putting this problem on the current staff seems a bit short-sighted. Sure, they have had issues — and deserve a lot of blame — but these players were bad under Jason Garrett and Rod Marinelli.
The good news is, there have been some players who have come out and ripped the anonymous sources who are blaming the coaches. While this might seem like inner-turmoil, the fact that some players aren’t looking to place blame is a good thing. Maybe, just maybe, if they know they’re a problem, they can start to fix it.
While we can’t expect them to become a fully functional unit in one week, we can look for progress and in this prediction we see a little bit of that as they finally get a turnover. Entering Week 2, Dallas has just two on the season, but they add to that with either a pick or fumble recovery — which is much-needed.
