DraftKings best Week 7 values: Wide Receivers

DeAndre Hopkins (ARI vs. SEA, $8,200) is officially listed as questionable. If he plays, he’s worth every penny against a Seattle Seahawks secondary that allows more points to wide receivers in PPR formats than any other team in the NFL.

Unfortunately, given the unusually late start of his game, those playing the DraftKings main slate will have very limited options to which they can pivot if Hopkins ends up being a late scratch. For this reason, Hopkins should only appear in the Flex position of Week 7 lineups, with Ezekiel Elliott lined up as a fallback option.

Davante Adams (GB at HOU, $7,900) makes a safer top-shelf selection against a Houston Texans defense that scares no one, and while we’re avoiding Stefon Diggs due to the likely game script, we fault no one who wants a piece of Calvin Ridley (ATL vs. DET, $7,300), who’ll command a boatload of reactionary targets as defenses are forced to respect a healthy Julio Jones (ATL vs. DET, $7,100) after last week’s impressive 8-137-2 performance.

In GPP formats, we love Tyreek Hill (KC at DEN, $6,400) since so many will undoubtedly be scared away by snowflakes. Hill can be had this week at a 20 percent discount from his Week 1 price and should put would-be tacklers on ice skates this Sunday.

Above the $6,000 threshold, we love Kenny Golladay (DET at ATL, $6,700), who faces a Falcons defense that has allowed more yards to wide receivers than any other team in the NFL over the past five weeks. We’re also high on Keenan Allen (LAC vs. JAX, $6,200) and Odell Beckham, Jr. (CLE at CIN, $6,100); the stock of the latter rises on the news that Bengals cornerback Willie Jackson will miss this week’s rivalry game.

In addition to McLaurin, mavens from the mid-tier include Chase Claypool (PIT at TEN, $5,700) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (PIT at TEN, $5,500), both of whom face a Tennessee Titans defense that has been quite generous to opposing wide receivers in recent weeks. The return of Diontae Johnson does cap their ceilings somewhat, so Tyler Boyd (CIN vs. CLE, $5,400) and Tee Higgins (CIN vs. CLE, $5,300) are likewise solid plays against a Browns defense that ranks in the league’s bottom three in terms of PPR points allowed to wide receivers over the last five weeks.

From the Under $5,000 group, we like the high floors of Cole Beasley (BUF at NYJ, $4,900) and Adam Humphries (TEN vs. PIT, $4,600), and the high ceilings of Christian Kirk (ARI vs. SEA, $4,900) and Michael Gallup (DAL at WAS, $4,600). Last but not least, don’t sleep on Tre’Quan Smith (NO vs. CAR, $4,000), who should see a spike in targets with Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders both missing this week’s matchup.
