Minnesota Vikings: 3 Bold predictions for Week 8 vs. Packers
Minnesota Vikings bold predictions for Week 8 against the rival Packers.
The Minnesota Vikings come out of a bye week in Week 7 looking to get the season back on track after starting the year a disappointing 1-5 overall. That won’t be an easy task for the Vikings in Week 8, however, when they hit the road to face an NFC North opponent and divisional rival on Sunday afternoon.
Minnesota returns to the field this weekend when it travels to battle the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in the second and final contest of the regular season between the two teams.
The Vikings enter the matchup at the bottom of the NFC North, having most recently lost 40-23 in Week 6 to the Atlanta Falcons at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
In that game, Minnesota fell behind Atlanta early in the game and didn’t have enough to even remotely get back into the contest while dropping yet another game on its home field to the previously winless Falcons.
On the other side of the field, Green Bay comes in looking like one of the top teams in the NFC nearing the midway point in the season, carrying a record of 5-1 overall.
The Packers took down the Houston Texans 35-20 last weekend in Week 7, bouncing back after falling for the first time of the year the week prior against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the game, Green Bay opened the contest by scoring 21 unanswered points and coasted to a victory on the road to remain atop the division.
Sunday’s game will be the second and final matchup between the Vikings and Packers in 2020, with Green Bay winning the first contest in Week 1 by a score of 43-34 in Minneapolis.
Before the two teams square off on Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field, let’s dive into three bold predictions that will occur for Minnesota.
