4. Rodgers connects with Adams for 200 yards, 2 TDs

Davante Adams has never had trouble against the Vikings in his career. Whenever he sees the purple across the line, it seemingly brings out the best in the wide receiver. That was indeed the case when these two rivals met in Week 1 this season as the wideout notched one of the best games of his career.

In the season-opener, Adams caught 14 of 17 targets for 156 yards and two touchdowns, paving the way for a monster day for the offense. He was also the catalyst for Rodgers’ hot start as the quarterback finished the day going 32-of-44 for 364 yards and four touchdowns.

Since then, Adams has missed time but Rodgers, outside of the loss to the Bucs, has remained red-hot. And when the wide receiver returned to the field last week against the Texans, he wasted little time proving that he’s still got plenty in the tank as he notched 13 receptions for 196 yards and two touchdowns.

Though there is going to be heavy amounts of wind at Lambeau Field on Sunday and that might keep Rodgers somewhat in-check, when they go to throw against the Vikings defense, I don’t think Minnesota will have an answer for the Rodgers-Adams connection.

Rodgers is going to keep targeting his No. 1 wide receiver and the Vikings don’t have anyone in the secondary who can keep up with him consistently. The result will be one of Adams’ best games ever as he notches 200+ yards with two touchdowns.
