Stud: Dalvin Cook

The biggest stud for the Vikings on Sunday afternoon in Week 8 was the stellar play from running back Dalvin Cook after he returned to the field after missing the Week 6 loss with an injury. With Cook’s return, he led the way for Minnesota on the offensive side of the ball and kept the Vikings in the game for the entirety of the road contest.

In the contest, Cook did it all for the Vikings, finishing with a team-best 30 carries for 163 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Through the air in the passing game, he added two catches for 63 yards and one touchdown, including a 50-yard touchdown reception in the second half.

Cook has been dominant once again this year and he displayed that dominance on the road against Green Bay at Lambeau Field.

Dud: Cameron Dantzler’s scary exit

Minnesota entered the Week 8 contest already short on the list of cornerbacks that would be taking the field on defense against Green Bay.

With a few injuries already flooding the team, the Vikings were thin at the back end of the defensive unit and that resulted in some younger players to step up, such as rookie cornerback Cameron Dantzler.

Unfortunately for Minnesota, those injury concerns continued in the game on Sunday afternoon with Dantzler taking a scary hit to the head that resulted in him being taken off of the field on a stretcher in the first half.

You obviously hope for the best for the rookie cornerback and hope that the injury isn’t serious, but the Vikings might have to look to continue to add to the already depleted cornerback unit moving forward this season.
