Indianapolis Colts. 10. team. 46. . . Previous: 15th

During their bye week, Philip Rivers must have found the fountain of youth because he looked like a man possessed for the Indianapolis Colts this weekend. Facing the Detroit Lions, he was a cool 23-of-33 passing for 262 yards with three touchdown passes and no picks.

Two of his scores went to the Colts dynamic running back Nyheim Hines who had three receptions for 54 yards to lead the team. Rivers also hit Jack Doyle for a score as he was spreading the ball around to everyone. He completed a pass to 11 different players on the day as he kept the poor Lions defense guessing all day.

Defensively, the Colts also had a great performance. While Matthew Stafford had 336 yards and three touchdowns, he was sacked five times and the running game was non-existent. Detroit had a total of 29 yards on the ground with Adrian Peterson managing seven yards on five carries and De’Andre Swift gaining just one yard on six carries.

The biggest thing about this win for Indy is it ties them in first place with the Tennessee Titans who suffered their second-straight loss this weekend. The Colts now have a matchup with the Ravens next week but then get their first of two chances against Tennessee over a three week period following that one.
