This loss was unexpected. The Green Bay Packers 5-1 were hosting the 1-5 Minnesota Vikings and it seemed as though it should have been an easy win. That ended up not being the case as the Vikings ran all over the Packers n a 28-22 loss.

While a divisional loss isn’t the worst thing to happen to a team, the way they lost is what has people up in arms. Freddie Boston of Lombardi Ave puts this loss on defensive coordinator Mike Pettine, and said he was ready for a change in his three takeaways from the loss.

"“Mike Pettine is running out of excuses. The Packers knew what the Vikings wanted to do. They continued to hand the ball Dalvin Cook’s way and almost every time he picked up a big gain. It’s been a frustrating season for the defense, but Sunday’s loss to Minnesota might’ve been the most disappointing performance to date. Kirk Cousins has struggled this season but was rarely under pressure. He attempted just 14 passes, completing 11 for 160 yards and a touchdown. The Vikings rarely needed to throw the ball.” — Boston, Lombardi Ave"

Green Bay is still fine, even though they fall a bit in our 2020 NFL Power Rankings, and should still win the division. This was just an unexpected speed bump that they need to learn from.
