This could have been a huge win for the Baltimore Ravens as they were within striking distance of the Pittsburgh Steelers, who entered this game at 6-0. Baltimore was 5-1 and a win would have tied them up, but the head-to-head victory would have made them the leaders of the AFC North. Unfortunately for them, it wasn’t meant to be.

Pittsburgh headed into M&T Bank Stadium ready to play and a pick-six from linebacker Robert Spillane on the opening drive set the tone for the day. Baltimore did shake that off and went up 17-7 at the half but the Steelers came out and scored two touchdowns in the third quarter to take the lead back as Ben Roethlisberger hit Eric Ebron and James Conner ran one in to go up by four.

Again, the Ravens kept fighting and Lamar Jackson hit Marquise Brown for a three-yard touchdown and that had them ahead by three in the final quarter. But then Chase Claypool did what he continues to do for Pittsburgh as he went for six to give them the lead back.

Jackson had them back on the move late but a fumble on fourth-and-three at the Steelers’ eight ended their hopes as they fell to 5-2 on the season. They’re still in great shape but this was a missed opportunity for them.
