3. New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Over the past few weeks, we’ve some thrilling divisional battles and that trend continues with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints will duke it out for first place in the NFC South on Sunday in Week 9.

New Orleans came into the year as the favorites in the division and among the leading Super Bowl contenders. Despite a fantastic roster on both sides of the ball, however, the Saints haven’t totally met expectations thus far. Drew Brees has looked like an aging quarterback this season while No. 1 wide receiver Michael Thomas has been out of action for some time. He’s set to return on Sunday, however.

As for the Buccaneers, they had their share of preseason hype as well, as you’d expect with the signing of quarterback Tom Brady in free agency. Also expected, the 43-year-old signal-caller took some time to get acquainted with his new wide receivers, no matter how talented they are. The offense has come around, though. Pair that with a defense that has been playing like one of the best teams in the league.

Considering that the two clubs are locked in a tight battle in the division, these two teams are going to be in for a great battle on Sunday. The Buccaneers look like the better team at midseason but, if the Saints get healthy and start to turn it on, they can give Tampa Bay all they can handle and more.
