47. Best NFL Player Born in Washington – John Elway

Washington’s very own quarterback John Elway truly was a legend on the gridiron. He was the true definition of a dual-threat quarterback that did anything and everything to put his Denver Broncos in a position to succeed.

Elway in his entire 15-year career totaled 51,475 passing yards on 4,123 completions for 300 touchdowns and 226 interceptions. Elway also rushed for 3,407 yards on 774 attempts for 33 touchdowns.

As a two-time Super Bowl champion, Elway was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004 and is truly the best NFL athlete coming out of the Evergreen State. He’s done and seen it all in 16 years with the Broncos as a player and has continued his legacy with the team as a general manager.
