AFC Playoff Picture Predictions: Dolphins get into the field
AFC Playoff Picture No. 6 seed: Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans currently sit at 6-3 and are tied with the Indianapolis Colts atop the AFC South. The Titans looked to be the best team in the NFL through the first six weeks, starting with a 5-0 record. Since then they have started to falter, dropping three of their last four including tough losses to the Steelers, Bengals and most recently the Colts.

Ryan Tannehill, who averaged 274 passing yards through the first five weeks, is only averaging 190 in the past four. However, with Derrick Henry nearing almost a thousand total yards, their recipe for success does not necessarily involve Tannehill. They are still seventh in the NFL with 29 points per game and 15th in points allowed per game with 25.1.
They are going to have to snap out of their slump quick if they want to win the division, though they could very likely extend their losing streak with matchups against Baltimore and Indianapolis in the next two weeks. After a disappointing loss to Indianapolis on Thursday night, their hopes of a division title likely lie in their Week 12 rematch.
Considering their defense has been the definition of average and they have shown they can be shut down by strong defenses, I like the Colts’ chances of winning the division. That does not mean that the Titans are the team you want to face in the playoffs, as they defied seeding last year and made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game with the sixth seed.
