FanDuel NFL Week 10 Picks and Advice: Running Backs
Running back is incredibly deep this week and, even though we are missing both of the top two scorers from Week 9, there are still plenty of names to choose from. Aaron Jones ($8,800) going up against a terrible Jacksonville run defense as 13.5-point favorites is a cash game lock to me. After that, I think who you select depends on what type of format you’re playing in.

Nick Chubb ($8,200), Chris Carson ($7,800), and James Conner ($7,600) are three players I think will come in with incredibly low roster percentages. In Chubb and Carson’s case, most people like to avoid anything with a questionable tag when making their lineup, but if they are good to go, they are both in good spots to pay off. Conner is coming off a huge bust week with a great matchup, but I am willing to chalk it up to a one-time occurrence and throw him right back in the lineup. After that, it’s pretty slim pickings for cheaper running backs.
I think Antonio Gibson ($6,100) and Phillip Lindsay ($5,900) are talented running backs who can turn their limited touches into plenty of yards, though their upside is certainly capped by a shared backfield.
Now, for the two best values on the slate: Duke Johnson Jr. ($5,900) and Mike Davis ($5,400) are both extremely underpriced this week, as the starters they were replacing were not in doubt until long after FanDuel released their salaries. Make sure to get one of these two in your cash lineups, as it allows you to spend up at another position while still getting a strong running back.
As for running backs I am avoiding, Josh Jacobs ($7,500) continues to be an effective running back in football, but no so much for fantasy. He gets a tough matchup and with his non-existent work in the receiving game, he almost needs two touchdowns to pay off. Even though Melvin Gordon III ($6,600) has the same tasty matchup as Lindsay, I would much rather save $700 and go with the more talented back, as even though Gordon has a better chance of a top 24 finish, Lindsay has more upside, which is what you want in your DFS lineup.
Giovanni Bernard ($6,200) did not get mentioned with the other backup running backs and for good reason. He is priced up a bit, but it is his matchup against Pittsburgh that makes him almost unplayable.
