1. Allen re-enters the MVP race.

Allen was outstanding against Seattle. It was the best performance of his burgeoning career. Allen demonstrated incredible arm strength, rushing ability and poise. It was a statement performance. Allen also displayed superb touch and the skill to get off his primary read. The former Wyoming man was special and he’ll need to be the same in Arizona.

He will have chances, though. He has a fantastic receiver corps and Brian Daboll is excelling at calling the plays. The Cardinals are a below-average passing defense and rank in the bottom 10 against the run. Allen is the big-bodied dual-threat quarterback that will cause big problems for the Cardinals.

We may see more of his rushing ability and the inventive play designs Daboll uses will cause headaches for Arizona. The Cardinals don’t possess an elite coverage linebacker and we may see Buffalo call more stretch plays where there are underneath players running crossing routes.

With Tyler Kroft, Cole Beasley, and Gabriel Davis available to him, Allen should profit from them and move the ball. If the short passing game can be successful, it will open up Allen’s deep passing game.

Diggs and John Brown, Allen’s top two receivers, are better than the opposing cornerbacks in this game. Allen is playing at an MVP level when under pressure and the Cardinals will bring blitzes for him to attack. As long as Allen looks after the ball, he could have a monster day, particularly through the air.
