2. Cardinals dominate the Buffalo Bills defense

During his Bills tenure, Sean McDermott’s defenses have been outstanding. This year, however, the defense has taken a step back. They came up big against Seattle, though, as four turnovers helped swing the game for the Bills. But I don’t think that is sustainable. The Bills defense will have to play their best game of the season to stop Arizona.

The Cardinals lead the league in total yards on offense and so much of it is built on Kyler Murray’s electric ability to run. Arizona owns the second-best rushing offense and it will be crucial that Buffalo takes that away.

Tremaine Edmunds will need another top performance as he will be tasked with stopping the run and setting the tone on tackling. Murray is one of the most elusive players in the NFL and tackling will have to be elite to get him down. The Cards are second in ESPN’s pass block and run block success. It is vital Buffalo can set the edge and contain Murray on running plays.

But that comes with its own problems. Murray is passing at an incredibly high level when inside the pocket. Given the fact he has two top weapons in Hopkins and Christian Kirk, Murray can beat you with his arm as well as his feet. For Buffalo, this will have to be the complete game on defense. Buffalo may show heavy personnel upfront to clog up Arizona on the ground.

Tre’Davious White will shadow Hopkins all game and McDermott’s play-calling will have to be exemplary. I’m not sure the Buffalo Bills will pressure Murray and force Murray to ad-lib and play out of control. The Bills will have difficulty stopping Arizona and that Murray could cause significant problems on the ground. If that happens, the rest of the offense should soar.
