New England Patriots studs and duds from an upset win over the Ravens.
Coming off of a bounce-back win in Week 9 last Monday on the road against the New York Jets, the New England Patriots returned to Foxborough for a matchup against a tough AFC opponent.
Riding a win after going through a mid-season slump, the Patriots aimed to keep the ball rolling on Sunday Night Football while hosting the Baltimore Ravens at Gillette Stadium in what ended up being a randy and windy contest between the two teams.
At the end of the Week 10 matchup, New England came away with a surprising 23-17 upset victory over Baltimore to extend its winning streak to two straight.
In the game, the Patriots found themselves out in front early in the game and didn’t look back while holding off a solid Ravens squad on the other side of the field. After a scoreless first quarter for both teams, New England outscored Baltimore 13-10 in the second quarter alone to grab a three-point lead going into halftime.
In the second half, the Patriots held a 10-7 advantage in the third quarter and both teams remained off the scoreboard in the final frame, paving the way for New England to come away with a six-point upset win at home.
With the win, the Patriots improved to 4-5 overall and are now getting back to the .500 mark on the season going into Week 11. New England also was able to jump back above the .500 mark at home in 2020, improving to 3-2 in Foxborough with the victory. In the loss, the Ravens fell on the road for the first time this year and dropped to 6-3 overall going into next week.
New England gets back to action in Week 11 when it gets back onto the road to square off against the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon. Baltimore will return home to host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon in Week 11.
With the Week 10 contest now over with, let’s take a look back at some studs and duds that appeared in the win for the Patriots.
