Following a 5-1 start to the season, the Baltimore Ravens have had a tough stretch over their past three games. They lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers but then scored a win over the Indianapolis Colts which seemed to put them back on track. However, they lost another on Sunday Night Football by a score of 23-17 at the hands of the New England Patriots.

In a game they were favored to win, the Ravens found themselves struggling to get into a rhythm. They went into the half down 13-10 and then New England continued to put space between them as the weather got worse. Baltimore did make it a one-score game with a third-quarter touchdown pass from Jackson to Willie Snead but the fourth quarter turned out to be a problem.

A game that had a bit of rain throughout turned into a complete mess and when the Ravens got the ball back with 1:05 to go and no timeouts, it looked like a blizzard. It was hard to see much at all on the broadcast and it was likely even worse on the field in the thick of it.

With Jackson unable to move the ball due to that weather, there will again be questions raised about his ability when it comes to passing the ball. While those questions can be legitimate, this doesn’t feel like the game to point to as an example. This was just an ugly game that they need to try and learn from.
