Houston Texans. Houston Texans. 3. player. 10. . AFC South

The Houston Texans were up 24-0 on the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round earlier this year. Of course, we all know how that ended, as the Texans epically collapsed and not much has gone right for them since then.

The Texans are just 2-7 this season and while they fired Bill O’Brien earlier in the year, the franchise is really going to have to hit a home run with their next head coach. To make matters worse for Houston, normally in a down year, you can at least reap the benefits of being bad by getting a high draft pick.

Well, the Texans can’t even do that, as the Dolphins own their first-round pick. Houston won’t be able to make a selection until the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft and that’s detrimental for a team with as many needs as the Texans have.

The good news for Texans fans is that Deshaun Watson is one of the best young quarterbacks in the league and he’s going to continue to play well. The bad news is that other star players like J.J. Watt have realized this won’t be the team they can win with and are wanting a change of scenery.

If the most beloved player on the team wants out, you know this was a bad year. Houston has potential, but they need to hire the right head coach this offseason and make the most of their limited draft picks.
