Packers vs. Colts: 5 Bold predictions for Green Bay vs. Indianapolis in Week 11
2. Adams roasts the Indy secondary for 200-yard day
There has been no stopping Davante Adams since he returned from injury in Week 6 after missing a handful of games. The Packers No. 1 wide receiver has 44 receptions for 549 yards with seven touchdowns over his last five outings, including two games with over 170 receiving yards. Again, there’s been no stopping the wideout as he’s established himself as arguably the best player at the position in the NFL.
Adams’ run as of late makes for a tasty matchup against the Colts for the simple fact that Indianapolis has been terrific in every facet of their defense, including stopping the pass. That means that Rodgers and Adams will face one of the toughest opponents that they’ve seen this year.
While that may be true, the big weakness of the Indianapolis defense is the secondary. Yes, Xavier Rhodes has been great this year but the overall depth of the group can be called into question. More importantly, there isn’t anyone on the roster that should scare Adams. Additionally, the pass rush could be negated by a good offensive line and Rodgers’ mobility and escapability.
The theme of Adams being unstoppable is going to remain true in this game. I maintain that the Colts are going to bottle up the Packers rushing attack, meaning it’ll be on Rodgers to pass if they’re going to win. When that happens, he looks to Adams and that will be the case here. And for as good as he’s been, this will be his best game of the 2020 season as he tops the 200-yard mark.
