FanDuel NFL Week 14 Picks and Advice: Running Backs

Pricing wise, Dalvin Cook ($10,200) and Derrick Henry ($9,600) are in the top tier this week. Of the two, I much prefer Henry with the plus matchup against Jacksonville over Cook who draws a tough matchup against Tampa Bay. I think Henry’s roster percentage will be so high in cash formats that you need to get him in your lineup, as a big game from someone over 50 percent rostered when they are not in your lineup leaves you in a big hole.

On the other side of the ball, James Robinson ($8,000) has solidified his spot as an RB1 and gets to face a Tennessee defense that has looked terrible in recent weeks. His increased role as a pass-catcher with Mike Glennon under center certainly increases his upside and floor as well. David Montgomery ($6,600) is another cash game lock this week, as after destroying the worst run defense in Week 13 he gets a matchup with the second-worst. I like his chances at a top-10 week and his RB2 price tag makes him a must-start.

There are also running backs like Wayne Gallman Jr. ($6,000) and Myles Gaskin ($6,000) who have flashed talent all year and should be locks for 20+ touches, making them a strong value at their $6000 price tag. I will also mention Jonathan Taylor ($7,000) and Aaron Jones ($8,700) as fantastic plays with great matchups, though there is definitely a bit more concern surrounding those two backfields.

As you can tell, there are plenty of great options at running back this week. When there are all these players that you want exposure to, I would recommend playing more tournaments than usual, as that can allow you to have players in all these games versus having to choose one cash lineup and missing out on potential big games from players not in your cash lineup.

Players that will not be seeing any of my lineups include: Josh Jacobs ($,7400), as even if he is healthy he has a brutal matchup with Indianapolis, Miles Sanders ($6,200), as I want to parts of this new Philadelphia offense against an elite Saints defense, and Todd Gurley II ($6,100), as despite having a plus matchup, Gurley has looked terrible this year and needs two touchdowns to pay off his value.
