Scouting Report. 3. player. Pick Analysis. LB. Penn State. Micah Parsons. 56

It’s tempting to go with an offensive lineman here and in many of the mocks out there, that’s exactly what the Cincinnati Bengals do. One of the reasons is the fact that they need to do more in order to protect quarterback Joe Burrow. The thing is, Burrow was getting it done with the line they had and was actually hurt on a play where he took off and ran. This isn’t to say they don’t need help because they do, they just wait until Round 2 in this mock.

What we do instead is go for the best player on the board which is Micah Parsons — the Penn State linebacker who can be a quarterback of the defense for the Bengals. If this team wants to win more games, they have to keep from being in one shootout after another and Parsons helps in that endeavor.

Oregon. player. 123. OT. Penei Sewell. 4. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

It wasn’t that long ago when the Dallas Cowboys offensive line was considered one of the best in the NFL — but it feels like that was forever ago. This season, the Dallas line has been an absolute mess and while a lot of that has to do with injuries, they still need to make moves. La’el Collins should be back and at full health at right tackle but their left tackle has a concerning injury history.

Tyron Smith has been a stud since joining the team in 2011 but he clearly can’t stay on the field. Dallas uses their No. 4 pick here to land Penei Sewell who can replace Smith and save them some money when they move on.
