Previous: 14th. Las Vegas Raiders. 15. team. 28. .

There’s still no team in the NFL harder to figure out than the Las Vegas Raiders. They are still the only team to beat the Kansas City Chiefs this season and then nearly did it a second time when the divisional rivals had their rematch. They also knocked off the New Orleans Saints earlier in the season.

But they also lost 43-6 to the struggling Atlanta Falcons and then nearly blew it against the New York Jets last week, when they beat them by a score of 31-28. Then in Week 14, they were thoroughly demolished by the Indianapolis Colts. While losing to the 9-4 Colts in itself isn’t something to be ashamed of, the way it happened was.

Las Vegas gave up 44 points and had no answers for the Indianapolis offense. Jonathan Taylor had 150 yards rushing and two touchdowns and T.Y. Hilton had a vintage game with 86 yards and two touchdowns.

As frustrating as that was, the Raiders did have some players stand out. Derek Carr had three total touchdowns — but he did have two picks — and was able to find Nelson Agholor for 100 yards and a touchdown on five receptions. They’re still alive in the Wild Card picture but they’re on the outside looking in and this loss stung.
