5 NFL teams who will have new quarterback in 2021
No. 4 NFL team with a new QB in 2021: Indianapolis Colts
The Colts had their franchise quarterback when they took Andrew Luck No. 1 overall in the 2012 NFL Draft. Unfortunately for them, Luck shocked the world when he opted to retire before he was even 30, putting the Colts in a bad situation.

The Colts had failed to give Luck a decent offensive line while he was there and they learned from their mistakes. Their offensive line now is one of the best in the league, as Philip Rivers has only been sacked 13 times this year.
Speaking of Rivers, he won’t be returning to Indianapolis in 2021. He’s 39 years old and this season has shown that he’s not the same quarterback he was 10 years ago for the Chargers. Unless Rivers leads the Colts to the Super Bowl all on his own, he’s likely one and done in Indy.
With the Colts being a playoff team, they won’t be able to draft one of the better quarterbacks in the draft. They’d have to be perking their ears at the possibility of trading for someone like Carson Wentz or even Sam Darnold, both young guys who look to be on their way out of their respective cities.
Indy has the weapons, the offensive line, and the defense to be an enticing fit for any free-agent quarterback this offseason. Truthfully, it was surprising that Tom Brady didn’t sign with them the last offseason, but the Colts might have dodged a bullet there. They’ll hit the market for another quarterback this offseason and they might have their pick of the litter.
