FanDuel NFL picks, Week 15: Best DFS fantasy football lineup
FanDuel NFL Week 15 Picks and Advice: Tight End
As always, Travis Kelce ($8,500) is light years ahead of any other tight end in terms of price. However, I still prefer punting tight ends in cash formats, as spending up for Kelce limits you too much in terms of spending at other positions. Thankfully, there are some strong punt options this week.
Irv Smith Jr. ($5,400) has a fantastic matchup against the Bears and should receive all of the tight end duties with Kyle Rudolph sidelined. Cole Kmet ($5,100) in the same game is also appealing, as he has become the clear cut TE1 in Chicago in terms of routes and targets the past few weeks.
Finally, Jack Doyle ($4,800) would become an extremely cheap punt play if Mo Alie-Cox and Trey Burton were to both miss.
FanDuel NFL Week 15 Picks and Advice: D/ST
This week is extremely tough at defense, as even though there are plenty of strong expensive options, there are not any standout punt defenses. If you want to spend up at defense, you may as well pay for the Los Angeles Rams ($5,000) who are arguably the best defense in the league facing off against the worst team in the league.
I think the New England ($4,100) defense is an appealing mid-range option, as you are getting a respectable defense in a low scoring game. If you want to fully punt, I think the best option is the Dallas ($3,600) defense, as they should be able to get a turnover or two out of Nick Mullens and limit San Fransisco to a low amount of points.
FanDuel NFL Week 15 Lineup
- QB Kyler Murray – $8,000
- RB Derrick Henry – $10,200
- RB Alvin Kamara – $7,800
- WR Allen Robinson – $7,300
- WR T.Y Hilton – $6,800
- WR Lynn Bowden Jr – $5,000
- TE Irv Smith Jr – $5,400
- FLEX J.K. Dobbins – $5,900
- D/ST Dallas – $3,600
This lineup heavily invests in a few players while relying on a few punt plays to come through as floor plays. Ideally, Bowden Jr, Smith Jr, and Dallas are able to deliver around 30-40 combined points. This allows our lineup to rely on Derrick Henry, Alvin Kamara, and Kyler Murray having big games, which appears extremely likely given their matchups and situations.
However, this lineup certainly contains some inherent risk, as by investing in two of the three most expensive running backs we are forced to play some subpar players. If you do not feel comfortable rolling out the likes of Lynn Bowden Jr or the abysmal Cowboys defense, you can swap out Henry for a player like David Montgomery or Jonathan Taylor and upgrade at other positions. Whatever lineup you end up going with, best of luck on your FanDuel Week 15 DFS endeavors!
