2. Minnesota passing game will be unable to keep up with New Orleans

Entering Week 16 of the regular season, both the Vikings and the Saints both consist of offenses that rank in the top half of the NFL with just a few weeks left in the year.

More from NFL Spin Zone

On the side of Minnesota, it has the fifth-ranked offense in the league, including the fifth-best running game and the 18th-ranked passing attack. For New Orleans, it has the 16th-ranked offense in the NFL, highlighted by its seventh-ranked rushing attack and the 21st-ranked passing game.

Now that quarterback Drew Brees has returned from injury for the Saints, it’s likely that we see the New Orleans offense continue to try and return to form specifically in the passing game and holding an offense that has the ability to run up the score in the blink of an eye.

In the NFC showdown on national television on Friday, Minnesota might have a hard time in trying to keep up with New Orleans on the offensive side of the ball which could make this a long game for the purple and gold.

The Saints will do what they do well on offense, especially given the weaknesses that still lie within the Vikings defense that has been dealt with injury issues and youth on that side of the ball so far in 2020. On the other end of the field, Minnesota will have a tough time squaring off against a top-notch New Orleans defense throughout the matchup in New Orleans.

For those reasons, another prediction that will appear in the game for the Vikings is that they won’t be able to keep up to the Saints and will run out of steam in the end to ultimately fall on the road.
