5 Prospects to know from each College Football Playoff team for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Bowl season is always a great opportunity to watch NFL Draft prospects but, at the same time, we also see many players opt-out or declare for the draft rather than playing in relatively meaningless bowl games. That is not the case, however, when it comes to the College Football Playoff. With a National Championship on the line, the best players are hungry to prove themselves.

Subsequently, the College Football Playoff can be a huge proving ground for prospects with thoughts of playing at the next level. So with the Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish set to take the stage on New Year’s Day for the start of the Playoff, some big-time prospects are going to be in the spotlight and expected to perform.

While some teams have more high-end 2021 NFL Draft prospects than others, these teams got to this point because of the talent they possess. So while this isn’t every prospect in the mix, these are five 2021 NFL Draft prospects from each College Football Playoff team you need to know.

Notre Dame 2021 NFL Draft prospects to know for College Football Playoff

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB – In terms of performance, importance and production, Owusu-Koramoah is an absolute stud. The Notre Dame linebacker is a freak athlete with the ability to cover a ton of ground. The knock on him is his size as he plays at under 220 pounds. NFL teams will have to evaluate where to play him — a move to a big nickel safety is possible — but his athletic ceiling makes him a surefire first-round pick.

Liam Eichenberg, OT – Eichenberg doesn’t flash as much as some other top offensive tackle prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft but he has the look of an effective NFL starter. He’s strong up top and has great size and length to succeed in the pros. While Eichenberg isn’t a great athlete, he’s sufficient and technically sound, which should help him make an easy transition to the next level.

Daelin Hayes, EDGE – Prior to 2020, injuries and underperformance marred Hayes’ career but he’s stepped up a big this season. He’s an impressive physical player with great size and strength to go with a bit of explosiveness. Hayes needs to become a more nuanced pass-rusher with his moves and technique but the ceiling is high for his NFL career.

Tommy Kraemer, IOL – A former 5-star recruit, Kraemer never lived up to his potential. He’s got a great frame and obvious strength but his mobility and movement skills aren’t much to write home about. He could still be a solid depth player in the NFL but his potential is limited due to his physical and athletic shortcomings.

Robert Hainsey, IOL – Hainsey is a bit of a sleeper by my estimation. He’s been good at Notre Dame but simply needs to be a weight room project. His current build is insufficient as he carries some seemingly bad weight. With some work with an NFL program, however, he could be made into an effective depth player on the offensive line.
