2021 NFL Playoffs: 10 Bold predictions for the Wild Card Round
NFL Playoffs Wild Card prediction No. 8: Lamar Jackson scores 5 times
Remember what we talked about when discussing Allen? Lamar Jackson is arguably the poster child for that right now. After he led the best offense in the league last season while the Baltimore Ravens finished with a 14-2 record in the regular season, the quarterback went into the playoffs and a matchup with the Tennessee Titans and he and the offense stalled.

- Dallas Cowboys made the trade everyone else should have made
- Pittsburgh Steelers rookie sleeper everyone should be talking about
- Anthony Richardson putting jaw-dropping talent on display immediately
- Denver Broncos’ stud wide receiver might be out for a while
- Washington Commanders: Three takeaways from win over Ravens
But again, that’s not abnormal for young quarterbacks. And as defenses seemingly had figured out ways to slow down Jackson this year, he came on strong at the end of the year. To me, that’s a sign that he’s figured something out, especially as a passer. With revenge on his mind in a playoff rematch against Tennessee, we’ll see that. Jackson will total five touchdowns on the day and it won’t be garbage-time scoring either.
NFL Playoffs Wild Card prediction No. 7: Antonio Brown hits 100 yards, 2 TDs
There were undeniable moments when Antonio Brown played a meaningful role in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense as another weapon for Tom Brady. But there were also times when his impact was less than meaningful. That seemingly turned a corner over the final stretch of the regular season, though, as AB stepped up big, including an 11-138-2 line in a Week 17 win over the Falcons.
Brady pushed hard to get Brown for the Buccaneers offense for a reason. And with Mike Evans either not playing or playing at less than 100 percent, the veteran quarterback and future Hall-of-Famer is going to be looking for the players he trusts. That’s clearly Brown and we’ll see him toast the Washington secondary as he tops the century mark and scores twice on the night.
