Super Bowl 55 Matchup No. 2: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

If this is the matchup we get for Super Bowl LV, then we actually saw a preview for it back in Week 12 of the regular season with the Chiefs winning 27-24. This was the game in which Tyreek Hill went off, totaling seven catches for 203 yards and two touchdowns in the first quarter alone. It was insane to watch, but that wouldn’t happen against a Bucs team that’s been surging since that game.

Obviously, the main focus for this Super Bowl would be the fifth meeting between Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady, where it’s now a 2-2 stalemate between the two. Brady won the first two games and Mahomes has won the last two, so this game would be for the Super Bowl title and the tiebreaker in determining if the GOAT’s potential successor is truly ready to replace him or not.

It’d be fun seeing the Chiefs and Buccaneers’ offenses go head-to-head again and that’s why this would be the second-best potential Super Bowl LV matchup. It’d also be the last two quarterbacks to win Super Bowls going against each other and who doesn’t want to watch that? Throw in that this game would be a home game for the Buccaneers and it’d be a ton of fun to watch play out on Super Bowl Sunday.
