DraftKings Super Bowl Showdown picks: Wide Receiver

Given that Tyreek Hill ($10,400) had over 200 yards in the first quarter of the regular-season meeting with the Buccaneers and finished with three touchdowns, it’s not hard to see why he has the third-highest salary. However, the Bucs will almost surely key in on him after that showing and I’m worried he could largely be a decoy who struggles to pay off his price. It’s risky given his talent but might be a nice place to pivot.

The duo of Chris Godwin ($8,800) and Mike Evans ($8,400) is intriguing but you likely have to pick your preferred flavor if you’re going that route. Godwin is likely to see more targets and overall usage, especially working out of the slot. But Evans’ threat in the red zone gives him high-end touchdown potential.

For value wide receivers, I’m fading Antonio Brown ($6,200) as he’s returning from injury and has been inconsistent as well. Mecole Hardman ($5,600) has unreal upside but he too is risky given how big-play dependent he is.

Sammy Watkins ($4,200), however, is intriguing given his return and price. If Hill is honed in on by the defense, he could benefit from some big targets. Scotty Miller ($3,400) is cheaper and checks many of the same boxes as someone like Hardman or Watkins. And if you’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel, Demarcus Robinson ($1,400) and Tyler Johnson ($1,200) have flashed and could pop up in the Super Bowl.

DraftKings Super Bowl Showdown picks: Tight End

Travis Kelce ($11,000) is actually the second-highest-priced player on the entire Super Bowl Showdown slate. But seeing how his two playoff games this postseason have gone for 27.9 and 39.8 DraftKings points, that stands to reason as to why. I like him as a play in this game as well, more so than Hill, as he could benefit from the Bucs honing in on him.

While Rob Gronkowski ($3,000) is sure to get love from some people given his past connections with Tom Brady in past Super Bowls. However, his usage in the passing game has been almost non-existent. But Cameron Brate ($4,800) is intriguing as he’s been gobbling up targets as of late. If you’re playing a Tampa tight end, he’s definitely the way to go at a reasonable price.
