Cleveland Browns: 5 Dream targets in 2021 NFL free agency
Cleveland Browns dream free agency target No. 2: Anthony Harris, S
If the Cleveland Browns can’t land Justin Simmons, the next best thing is fellow free safety Anthony Harris, who has spend the last six season dominating in the Minnesota Vikings secondary.
While his production dropped off in 2020 — as did the entire Vikings defense — Harris’ 2019 season was one to remember. In his fifth season, Harris recorded six interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), 11 pass deflections, one fumble recovery, 60 combined tackles, one tackle for los and one QB hit.
Harris would replace the aforementioned Andrew Sendejo and add a physicality to the Cleveland Browns secondary that was unseen in their 2020 season. Harris has shown he has an innate ability to read coverages and set up big play potential.
In Cleveland, Harris would also reunite with former Vikings coach Kevin Stefanski, a reunion that both player and coach would likely welcome. And again, much of the same that was true with Simmons would also be true with Harris.
