2021 NFL mock draft after major trades: Picks 9-12

9. Denver Broncos: Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State

Yes, the Broncos have Von Miller and Bradley Chubb but Micah Parsons is different. Not only can he play inside as well as come off the edge but, athletically, he’s on an entirely different level. I’m sure his pro day showing has put general managers everywhere on notice and reminded everyone of the immense potential he has. Parsons will be the Defensive Rookie of the Year and a stalwart of the Broncos defense for many years to come.

10. Dallas Cowboys: Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama

One of the most chalk picks of the year is projecting Patrick Surtain II to the Dallas Cowboys and with good reason. The Cowboys have a horrible secondary and Surtain fits the physical profile that new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn prefers. He can come in and stabilize an area that has been a problem for Dallas.

11. New York Giants: Rashawn Slater, OT, Northwestern

The Giants have had their fair share of struggles in trying to sure up the offensive line. Slater is the second-ranked lineman in this draft and gives Big Blue an anchor for a vastly improved offense. Not to mention, a way out of the Nate Solder deal.

12. Philadelphia Eagles (via Dolphins): Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama

The Eagles were able to move back, acquire a future No. 1 pick, and still land one of the draft’s top-tier wide receivers. Adding the speedster from Alabama, the Eagles will have a legit No. 1 guy which should take the pressure off last year’s first-rounder, Jaelen Reagor. Now, armed with a pair of vertical threats and a quarterback who can hurt you just as bad with his legs as he can with his arm, the Eagles offense should be flying high.
