Kyle Pitts NFL Draft landing spot No. 1: Miami Dolphins (Pick No. 6)

The Dolphins were subjects of some wheeling and dealing recently after bouncing around from No. 3 to No. 12 and back to No. 6. Clearly, Miami has a target in mind and wanted to ensure they could snag him at the right value, while also adding more draft capital. The goal for the Dolphins this offseason? Giving Tua Tagovailoa playmakers, plain and simple.

They invested in the offensive line in last year’s draft, so selecting Penei Sewell may be a detriment to the Austin Jackson selection. Again, he’s not a bad selection, but the Dolphins are clearly focused on adding offense weapons. Catch my drift?

The main outcry about Miami picking Pitts has been something along the lines of: BuT MiKe GeSiCkI iS tHeRe!

First, Pitts is better than Gesicki. Second, Pitts’ skillset makes it much easier to utilize both players at the same time. Consider them just two bigger wide receivers, if you will. And if Gesicki is phased out of the Dolphins’ offense, the team can let him walk after the season.

Adding a player like Pitts would not only do wonders for Tagovailoa, but it’ll help Brian Flores implement the versatility he so desperately covets into the offense. Pitts would also be Miami’s best pass-catcher.
