Dallas Cowboys land elite cornerback in 7-round mock draft

Dallas Cowboys pick No. 116 overall: Dylan Moses, LB, Alabama
It seems as though the star for Dylan Moses has really lost its shine. He once seemed to be a first-round pick but now, it feels like he might be a player who slides into the third day of the draft.
In this mock, that’s what happened but Dallas should end his slide if he finds himself on the board at No. 116. Moses was simply always around the ball for Alabama and that’s something this defense can use.
Currently, both Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch are trending in the wrong direction and LVE has struggled to stay on the field due to health concerns. For that reason, it would make a lot of sense for Dallas to use this pick on a player who could light a fire under them and potentially take someone’s job if that fails to motivate them to get back on track.
Dallas Cowboys pick No. 139 overall (comp pick): Jaylen Twyman, DT, Pitt
The interior position is a tough one to figure out. The Cowboys did say goodbye to Tyrone Crawford this offseason which opened up a hole but they do have Trysten Hill returning from injury as well as Neville Gallimore who was taken in the third round last season.
Before getting hurt, Hill was starting to see the light bulb come on so it would be nice to see if he can continue his growth. As for Gallimore, he started to get better as the season went on and he too deserves time on the field.
The problem is, neither has shown enough yet for Dallas to completely ignore the position. They have to bring someone in to compete for snaps, which is why they pick Jaylen Twyman here.
Listed at 6-foot-2 and 290-pounds, Twyman found success as a pass rusher for the Panthers. He’s a solid athlete who needs to work on some of his pass-rush moves, but the ceiling is pretty high.
