Trade: Atlanta Falcons send No. 4 overall pick to the Denver Broncos for No. 9 overall and a 2022 First-Round Pick

Our first trade in this 2021 NFL Mock Draft comes through here as the Atlanta Falcons find themselves a trade partner. Armed with the No. 4 overall pick, the Dirty Birds drop down to No. 9 and add a first-round pick in 2022. For them, it’s a solid move since they can still get a premium player and add more fuel in 2022. And for the Denver Broncos, this is also a win since they will finally land a quarterback they can trust going forward.

As stated earlier, Justin Fields is the only player who is close to what Trevor Lawrence brings to the table but for some reason, he’s had several questions pop up around him lately — none of which feels legit. One of the “concerns” has become the thought that he “might not love football” and while some players do have this issue, Fields has never shown anything but a true commitment to the game.

For Denver, he comes in as an immediate upgrade over Drew Lock. The current starter for Denver took a step in the wrong direction last season and rather than waiting to see if he can rebound, the Broncos need to just make the move for an elite playmaker. Jumping up five spots makes sure they do exactly that and if Fields reaches his potential, no one will miss the 2022 first-round pick.
