2021 NFL Mock Draft, Dallas Cowboys

Round 3, Pick 75: Tyson Campbell, CB, Georgia

With Patrick Surtain and Jaycee Horn slipping through their grasps, the Dallas Cowboys wait until Round 3 top add their newest cornerback. They end up landing a guy who has the talent to be a potential starter, even though he seems to have become a forgotten man.

Tyson Campbell was overshadowed by former teammate Eric Stokes, who blew people away with his workout. As for Campbell, he looks the part of an NFL corner and can play both zone and man coverage. It won’t make the same impact that Horn or Surtain would have, but the secondary is a lot better after adding Campbell and Holland.

Round 3, Pick 84 (via Eagles): Milton Williams, DT, Louisiana Tech

Trysten Hill made a couple of plays before being hurt in 2020 but he’s not even close to living up to his draft status. Dallas needs to act as though he isn’t there, which is why they take Milton Williams here.

Williams is a fast-riser but he probably won’t be a starter for at least a year. Still, a developmental three-technique with a lot of upside is never a bad idea.

This was also the pick they acquired in the trade with the Eagles. Again, it’s never fun to help a divisional rival get the player they want but the good news is, Dallas lands a player who could become a long-time starter for them — as long as they’re able to get him developed.
