5. Cowboys: Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper, Ezekiel Elliott

One of the best triplets of all time belonged to the Dallas Cowboys, who once employed Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin. Those three led the Cowboys to three titles in the early 1990s and it seems as though they have been trying to recreate that trio more than once.

As it stands now, they’re pretty solid and while they fall short of Tony Romo, DeMarco Murray, and Dez Bryant, the latest Dallas triplets are still very dangerous — even if they are often underrated.

Dak Prescott was the Rookie of the Year in 2016 after taking the job from an injured Tony Romo and never surrendering it. He had his best season ever in 2019 but missed the majority of 2020 with a broken ankle. He still never gets the respect he deserves but Prescott is a natural leader who can make all the throws.

Amari Cooper has recorded over 1,000-yards in five of his six seasons. His talent suggests he should be able to do more and he gets labeled as someone who doesn’t care simply because he’s a stoic personality but he’s still a nightmare to cover.

Last is running back Ezekiel Elliott who is the one keeping this trio from getting as high as the top three. Elliott led the NFL in rushing as a rookie but had his worst campaign in 2020 and can use a bounce-back season. Reports suggest he’s ready to get back on track this year and if he does, the Cowboys triplets could again be revered.
