The Dallas Cowboys being their season in the annual Hall of Fame Game. Here are 3 storylines to watch as they face off with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Football is finally back. The first game of the preseason is here as the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers face off in the annual Hall of Fame of Game in Canton, Ohio.

Of course, in this contest, teams often don’t play their stars for very long — if at all. But that doesn’t mean there won’t be plenty to watch for.

With that being said, here are three storylines to follow as the Cowboys kick their season off.

3. Does Nahshon Wright look comfortable?

When Dallas took Oregon State cornerback Nahshon Wright at No. 99 overall, it was a major shock. Not many people had Wright going on day two of the 2021 NFL Draft, let alone having him landing in the top-100.

However, it was still easy to see why the Cowboys were intrigued with him. Wright was the tallest cornerback in the draft and they love their length in the secondary. He also proved that he could be around the ball a lot while playing for the Beavers.

Once he landed in Dallas, he continued to show what this staff liked about him. Wright proved to be insanely confident — which is needed for this position — and he then backed that up with his play. During minicamps, Wright was one of the standouts for the Cowboys and there are those around the team who think they could be proven right for taking him when they did.

While that won’t be proven in one game, we can see how comfortable the rookie looks in this game going up against NFL-level talent. If he struggles, look for the critics to come out in full force. If he doesn’t, look for the critics to say nothing. Either way, we will know just a little more about the young man after Thursday night.
