The Dallas Cowboys take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1. Here are 5 bold predictions for America’s Team in that showdown.

Thursday Night Football is always a treat for fans, especially when it’s the opening game of the season. That’s exactly what we’re going to have this week as the Dallas Cowboys face the defending Super Bowl champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road.

It will be a huge test for Dallas as they try and shake off a 6-10 campaign a season ago — and will face the best in the business right off the bat.

Here we look ahead to the game and give five bold predictions for the Dallas Cowboys.

Dallas Cowboys bold prediction No. 5: Randy Gregory notches three sacks

For the first time in years, Dallas will finally have Randy Gregory ready to go in Week 1. It’s been a long road for the former second-round pick from Nebraska back in 2015. Gregory has spent more time suspended than he has on the field, but when he has suited up, he’s shown why the Cowboys have been so patient with him.

Gregory is one of the more explosive players off the edge in the league, when he’s firing on all cylinders. He’s also taking on more of a leadership role this season, embracing his past mistakes and using them as motivation. Heading into Week 1, he’s listed as a starter at right defensive end and with all eyes on him, look for Gregory to make good on his promise to prove the Cowboys right.

In this first bold prediction, he starts to look like some of the players to wear No. 94 before him and racks up three sacks on Tom Brady. Dallas
