FanDuel Week 2 picks and lineup advice: Running Back

Christian McCaffrey ($10,000) is the most expensive running back on this slate, though he is not my favorite running back of the week. Nick Chubb ($8,400) looks set to destroy against a fraudulent Texans defense that got to pad their stats against Trevor Lawrence in his NFL debut.

David Montgomery ($7,300) also looked fantastic in his limited work against a tough Los Angeles Rams defense and now gets to face a much easier Bengals defense. Even though he had an abysmal Week 1, the pricing of Najee Harris ($6,100)  is almost disrespectful. At this price point he should almost be considered a lock for cash format lineups.

Javonte Williams ($5,500) has slate breaking upside, as he could be due for an increased role with the Broncos likely to be playing with the lead. He looked solid in Week 1 though is in a clear timeshare with Melvin Gordon III ($5,900). I will take Williams at the discounted price along with the narrative all day.

If you need an extremely cheap fill in, you could certainly do worse than Nyheim Hines ($5,100), who is continuously involved in the passing game and should see enough targets to support your fantasy lineup.

Finally, Ronald Jones II ($5,300) is coming off a game in which he scored negative fantasy points and was subsequently benched, though has recently been named the starting running back by Bruce Arians. While Arians is known to fib, Jones II could be a fantastic play as the starting running back on an amazing offense if he is the starter.
