NFL: Ranking every quarterback midseason: 13. Ryan Tannehill – Tennessee Titans

Kirk Cousins, Carson Wentz, and Ryan Tannehill feel very similar as quarterbacks, but they are having very different seasons. Tannehill has been more boom and bust than his other two QBs. He lost to the Jets, but he beat the Bills and Chiefs. What is Ryan Tannehill? That’s a question evaluators have been trying to answer for years.

Things have definitely turned around since that Jets loss. Tannehill welcomes Julio Jones and AJ Brown back, which is making all the difference in the passing game. Derrick Henry will always be the straw that stirs the drink for this offense, but even against the Kansas City Chiefs Henry didn’t dominate, and Tannehill and the defense helped deliver a dominant win.

Tannehill has been really good since joining the Titans, and he might be one of those quarterbacks who’s good enough the win a Super Bowl. The list is on the cusp here. With Henry and an improving supporting cast around him, Tannehill is in a really good spot to improve. He has some rough games coming up, so Tannehill is going to be tested in the second half, but he showed he is doing just enough to help the Titans win.
