Quarterly MVP Rankings: 13. Derek Carr +3500

At the start of the season, the Las Vegas Raiders were the talk of the town. Many were expecting them to lose in blowout fashion to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. But, that didn’t happen. Most were then anticipating them to lose the following week as well. This time, to the Pittsburgh Steelers. That said, they took care of business yet again.

The Raiders have been one of the more surprising teams of the league this year. At 5-2, the Raiders have managed to rack up the wins. Despite dealing with one of the most arduous schedules in the league. And, of course, dealing with the whole Jon Gruden debacle.

For some reason, quarterback Derek Carr has fallen all the way down the MVP charts in the eyes of oddsmakers. At his current price, Carr is an absolute steal and someone bettors should take a serious look at. The Raiders are on pace to finish the season with at least 10 wins if not more and Carr is putting up monster stats.

You really can’t go wrong with a guy who’s thrown for 2,269 passing yards, completed 67.7% of his passes, while throwing 12 touchdowns to only five interceptions. If you’re looking for a dark horse candidate, he’s your guy.
