Quarterly MVP Rankings: 18. Mac Jones +20000

A rookie? On the MVP list? You better believe it.

Quarterback Mac Jones has been better than advertised this season. With just a shade under 2,000 passing yards already, Jones should be the leader in the clubhouse for Offensive Rookie of the Year. That said, he won’t be taking home the league MVP award.

Simply put, there are too many obstacles in his way. For starters, Jones and the New England Patriots will have a difficult time making the playoffs. Also, Jones often dinks and dunks his way to wins. While that shouldn’t matter in the grand scheme of things but when we’re judging the best players in the league, we have to nitpick a bit.

Jones has a bright future and could find himself as a multiple-time winner of the award but unless you’re are simply a huge Patriot fan, there’s no reason why anyone should lay a few bucks on him to win the award this year.
